In my search for the perfect tea I finally found The Healing Tree. A family owned and run tea shop, The Healing Tree has much more to offer than I expected. The tea shop is owned by a Chinese family whose son, Moe Lam, has a degree in psychology and has studied herbal medicine at the school of traditional Chinese medicine Emperor's College. The shop offers acupuncture as well as many other traditional if not esoteric healing techniques; I also became completely taken with Moe Lam's knowledge of all things historical and philosophical. Each experience at this tea shop has been beyond compare. I haven't delved into personal matters on this blog, but I'm going to change that this Tuesday, December 9 as I will be having my first consultation, as opposed to great conversation, with Moe Lam. Who am I kidding? I'm sure there will be plenty of great conversation to supplement the consultation.And the tea truly is the manifestation of divinity if there is such a thing. Even my boyfriend, who has always remained completely loyal to coffee, is drinking more of this tea than I am! Incredible...
